Mom Essentials
If you watched My News 2 with Tara Lynn at 11am on January 20th, then here's what you're looking for: Diaper Bag Essentials.
Diaper Bag Essentials: What you Need
-
Bag
-
Diapers
-
Wipes—Use a travel-wipe container or consider putting wipes in a Ziploc bag, which will take up less space and still keep baby wipes moist.
-
Changing pad (most diaper bags will come with one of these).
-
Bibs—one or two. Use bibs with Velcro instead of ties so you can put it on with one hand, if necessary.
-
Extra set of clothing for baby—and extra shirt for mom.
-
Bottle & Formula – Try a great new product called the Powder formula, which holds enough formula powder for making three 8-ounce bottles, or it can be used to hold cereal.
-
Bottled Water—for you to drink or to add to bottle to feed baby.
-
Snacks—for you and baby as she grows.
-
Toys—Rattle, favorite stuffed toy.
-
Binky—if baby uses one (may want to stash a spare to, in case one is lost in transit).
-
Receiving Blanket
-
Digital Camera—You never know when you’ll get a good shot.
-
Anti-bacterial hand cleaner
-
Cosmetic-type clear bag to hold Orajel (when baby starts teething), nail clipper, extra binky.
- Empty Ziploc Bag for those unexpected diaper changes when there’s no place nearby to dispose.
